8A/English

Gr. 6 We are beginning expository writing this week. Together we are reading and taking notes on the Crusades, which will be covered also in Social Studies. We will be putting together a 5 paragraph essay. The final, typed copy is due the Tuesday after break.
Gr. 7 Monday we are having the test on complements. I have not seen much of the 7th grade due to testing and the long weekend, so this test has been a long time in the coming and the reviewing. We are also continuing persuasive writing.
Gr. 8 There will be a test on the phrases chapter Thurs. Also, we will be discussing personal narrative writing and working on a memory of grammar school. The final copy is due Friday.

Finally, the dates for the Literature Logs to be turned in are March 21, April 18, and May 16. Book number 1 is due this Wednesday.
