We are beginning prepositional phrases–recognizing them, diagramming them, figuring out what they are describing, and most importantly, using them in a variety of ways in writing.
Gr. 7 Persuasive projects are due Thursday–both the writing and the visual. We continue with parts of speech–prepositions and adverbs this week.
Gr. 8 We will write the “I Know St. Joan of Arc School” poem this week, drawing on memories of previous years. Also, common usage problems will be covered.
Finally, I again make a plea for yearbook pictures, especially sports teams. Please send your picture along to me, either in an envelope with name and homeroom on it, identifying the team, or by e mail. I will scan all photographs and return them promptly.
